Originally, Kayla and I had planned on taking a trip to Hawaii in January but unfortunately those plans fell through. We both love watching drama filled TV in the evenings to unwind. One of those shows is Married at First Sight. The season we were watching had one couple taking a trip to Broken Bow, OK. Both of us thought the cabins were stunning and the scenery was beautiful in the area.

Since our Hawaii plans fell through, we decided Broken Bow was the next best thing, especially since there could be a chance of snow (we don’t get snow in Texas where we live). Sadly, we were unable to find a place in Broken Bow that would allow us to bring our dogs with us so we had to expand our search to be a little wider. We managed to find a gorgeous cabin on Airbnb in Clayton, OK. The cabin was very clean and modern with a beautiful view of the mountains and lake.

Kayla and I had a blast and the hiking in the area was gorgeous. The first day, Kayla and I got settled into the cabin and just relaxed while we planned out what to do the next day. The second day we went to Robber’s Cave State Park and it was covered in snow! It was the first time either of us had hiked in the snow. On our final day it had warmed up a little and we drove to Beaver’s Bend State Park. We each got t-shirts, went on a long hike with the dogs and ate lunch at Grateful Head Pizza because we thought the name was funny. It was the perfect vacation where the only plans were when and where we stayed! I will let the pictures say the rest.
